Purpose

PacMarine Services Group of Companies is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of the personal data entrusted to it by employees, job applicants, contractors, vendors, customers, stakeholders, and other individuals with whom it conducts business.

The purpose of this Policy is to ensure that personal data is collected, used, disclosed, stored, retained, and disposed of lawfully, fairly, transparently, and securely, while respecting the rights of individuals and complying with applicable data protection legislation.

Scope

This Policy applies to PacMarine Services Group of Companies, its subsidiaries and affiliates, including PacMarine Services Pte Ltd (“PacMarine”), and to all employees, contractors, consultants, temporary personnel, and third parties who collect, access, use, process, store, disclose, or otherwise handle personal data on behalf of the Company.

The Policy applies to all personal data that is in PacMarine’s possession or under its control, including personal data processed by third-party service providers engaged by the Company.

 

Policy Statement

PacMarine Services Group of Companies recognises the importance of protecting personal data and is committed to handling such information responsibly and in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements, including the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA), the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), where applicable, and other relevant privacy legislation.

Personal data shall be collected only for legitimate business purposes, processed fairly and transparently, and used only for the purposes for which it was collected or as otherwise permitted or required by law. Appropriate technical, organisational, and administrative safeguards shall be implemented to protect personal data against unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, alteration, loss, destruction, or other forms of misuse.

PacMarine will ensure that personal data is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or to satisfy legal, regulatory, contractual, or operational requirements. Personal data shall be securely disposed of when it is no longer required.

All employees, contractors, and third parties handling personal data on behalf of PacMarine are responsible for complying with this Policy and maintaining the confidentiality and security of the information entrusted to them.

Review

This Policy shall be reviewed at least annually, or whenever there are significant changes to the Company’s operations, applicable legislation, regulatory requirements, or other factors that may affect its implementation, to ensure it remains appropriate to the business and continues to comply with applicable personal data protection laws and regulations.
