Stop The Job Policy
All PacMarine employees, which includes; General Managers, Managers, Consultants, Surveyors, sub-contractors and office staff shall have the authority and responsibility to STOP WORK without fear of reprisal for any activity that are considered to be an imminent danger (i.e any condition or behavior that could reasonably be expected to cause death or serious injury, or environmental harm). The Managing director/ General Manager / Manager to be informed immediately.
PacMarine strongly believes that no work is so urgent that we cannot take time to do it safely.
PacMarine “Stop Work Policy” shall prevail when;
- Work activities impose an imminent danger to life, health and environment;
- Action of any person or a team is not in compliance with the set standards and procedures for performing a task.
- When condition changes (from safe to unsafe) during the work being performed.
- A Risk assessment has not been completed for that particular job/ activity.
